Special Issue on

OR in Practice

to participants of the

EURO XXVII 2015

On the occasion of EURO2015 - the 27th European Conference on Operational Research, July 2015, Glasgow UK, European Journal of Operational Research invites submissions of paper to a special issue on OR in Practice.

Operational Research in its modern form had its main breakthrough in the UK in the early 1940’s solving operational problems. To celebrate how far the field has grown over the last 75 years, we invite papers that illustrate the interplay between theory and practice. The papers can be technical or methodological, but they should all have a strong element of applications to real-world problems of considerable importance for society. They should use innovative solution methods and highlight theoretical challenges that emerge from the problem area.

Submission details: All papers should meet the general requirements for submission to EJOR (see http://www.journals.elsevier.com/european-journal-of-operational-research/ ). Papers will go through a thorough review process in accordance with the policy of EJOR.
